Our Rector, Fr Andrew Pearce, was born in 1966, and spent his childhood in the South Wales town of Pontypool. After studying Theology at Exeter University, he trained for the Ordained Ministry at St Michael’s College, Llandaff. Whilst in training, he married Fi, and they have two young daughters, Ellie and Susie.

Andrew was ordained deacon in 1996 and priest the following year. Following ordination, he served as assistant curate in the parish of Llansamlet, then in the neighbouring parish of Clydach. In 2000 Andrew and Fi left the Swansea Valley, and moved to Knighton in Radnorshire, where Andrew served as Vicar for five and a half years. In January 2006, they returned to the Swansea end of our Diocese, and Andrew took up the post of the Rector of Bishopston, Penmaen and Nicholaston.

Andrew’s hobbies include palaeontology, astronomy, cinema and theatre, and (as regular worshippers will testify) he has an abiding interest in science fiction in general, and the iconic British television series Doctor Who in particular – including his very own K9, Tom Baker scarf and model Dalek!!

You can contact Rev. Andrew at the Rectory on 01792 232140
